Our Leadership Team

Pastor Kevin & Mrs. Rachel Ferguson

Senior Pastor

Pastor Kevin came to our church as a young man with his family in 2001. Mrs. Rachel was born and raised in Arizona. This couple met while studying for the ministry in Bible college, and the Lord began knitting their hearts together. This knitting led to their marriage in 2016 and they have since served our church together. They served our church as Asst. Pastor for 7 years and in April of 2023 began serving as the Senior Pastor.

Dr. Ron Ostten

Evangelist

Born in Hebert, Louisiana Dr. Ostten lived throughout the state until he was saved @ 27 years of age. Shortly after his salvation God called him to preach, and he has been following that call ever since. Together with his wife and family the Lord has used them to pastor various churches in the USA and to start a church and Bible college in Canada. His wife has since gone on to Glory, but at over 80 years old he is still faithfully serving the Lord.

Love God Fervently

Loving God begins in the heart, with a personal relationship with Him. As we gather and participate in Christ-honoring worship services and respond to the preaching of God’s Word, this love flourishes. Mark 12:30 says, “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.”

Grow Together Biblically

We grow together, in Christ, through the study of God’s Word (II Peter 3:18; 2 Tim. 2:15).

This occurs in our weekly services, in our smaller Connection Groups, in our discipleship class, in our Men's & Ladies Groups, and other fellowship settings.

Reach Others Passionately

We reach others as we find a place of ministry in the local body (I Cor. 12:12, 27). We also reach out by sharing the Gospel with those who need the Lord—through witnessing to friends, coworkers, neighbors, and loved ones, as well as in participating in church outreach and giving to missions.

As a church, our commandment is to reach the world with the Gospel of Christ. We want to utilize every available biblical means, and we want to disciple and train every member to participate in obeying the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:18-20).

Our Beliefs

About Us: List

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the revealed Word of God, fully and verbally inspired of God. We believe the Scriptures to be the inerrant, infallible Word of God, as found within the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation. We believe that God not only inspired every word, but that He has preserved them through the ages. We believe that the King James Version is the preserved Word of God for the English-speaking people and is the only acceptable translation to be used in this church. (Psalm 12:6–7; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:19-21). Holy men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21) to write the Holy Scriptures (Genesis-Revelation). These Holy Scriptures are not to be changed, amended, or redacted in any way (Deut. 4:2, 12:32; Prov. 30:5-6; Rev. 22:18-19).

God

We believe there is only one true God (Deut. 6:4) who is all-powerful (Gen. 1:1; 18:4; Jer. 32:17, 27), all-knowing (Job 37:16; Mt. 10:29-30; Acts 15:8), everywhere present (Ps. 139), eternal (Gen. 21:33; Heb. 1:12), self-existent (Ex. 3:13-14; Jn. 5:26), infinite (Job 5:9; Ps. 40:5; Rom. 11:33) and unchanging (Ex. 3:14; Mal. 3:6; Js. 1:17). He has one nature, one essence, and one substance, yet manifests Himself to man in three eternal distinctions: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, commonly known as the Trinity.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ to be the one and only Saviour of mankind (John 12:32). We believe Jesus Christ to be eternally God (I Tim. 3:16) and to possess all the attributes of Deity (Col. 2:9). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was virgin-born (Is. 7:14; 9:6), that He was God incarnate (John 1:1, 14; 8:58; 10:27-30), and that the purposes of the incarnation were to reveal God (I John 1:1-3), to redeem men (Luke 19:10), and to rule over God's kingdom. We believe Jesus Christ never relinquished any attributes of His Deity, but merely veiled them (Phil. 2:5-11) and was all God and all man. We believe He lived a perfect, sinless life (John 19:4, 6; I Peter 1:19), at the end of which He was offered for all mankind as a substitutionary sacrifice for man's sin (Heb. 7:26; 9:24-28; 10:10-12). We believe He ascended into Heaven after His resurrection (Acts 1:9), placed His blood on the mercy seat, is seated at the right hand of the Father (Heb. 1:3; 10:12; 12:2) and is now waiting for the time of receiving His church at the rapture (I Thess. 4:13-18; Titus 2:10-15).

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit of God is a Divine person equal with God the Father and God the Son (Acts 5:3-5) and of the same nature. The Holy Spirit has personality (I Cor. 12:11; Eph. 4:30) and all the attributes of Deity (Ps. 139:7-8; I Cor. 2:10-11; Luke 1:35, 37; Heb. 9:14). We believe the Holy Spirit has always been involved in the affairs of mankind beginning with Creation (Gen. 1:2), and in relation to the unbelieving world He restrains the evil one until God’s purpose is fulfilled (2 Thess. 2:7-8). We believe He has a special ministry that began at Pentecost and will continue until the rapture. This ministry includes reproving the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8-11). The Holy Spirit was also sent to regenerate (Titus 3:5), sanctify (I Peter 1:2), seal (Eph. 1:13-14), fill (Eph. 5:18; Gal. 5:16), teach (John 14:26; I John 2:27), guide (John 16:13; Rom. 8:14), indwell (I Cor. 6:19-20), and empower (Acts 1:8) all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ.

Man & Sin

We believe that God created man in His own image (Gen. 1:26-27), but after man sinned that image was marred so that all men are now born with an inherited, fallen, sin nature (Eph. 2:3) received from our common ancestor, Adam (Rom. 5:12). All men are born innocent of willful sin, but eventually will sin because of this fallen sin nature, and will continue in sinful practices during their lifetime (Rom. 3:10-23; Ps. 14:3). This fallen sinful nature has left man destitute of the hope of ever gaining access to Heaven on his own (Is. 64:6; Rev. 21:8), and his final destination, apart from the work of Christ on the cross, is the Lake of Fire (Rev. 20:11-15; 21:8).

Salvation

We believe salvation cannot be obtained by good works, meritorious conduct, or any other form of self-help. Salvation is only by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5). Only by the substitutionary, bloody sacrifice of Christ on the cross can a man be delivered from his sin (Rom. 5:11; I Tim. 2:5-6). The only prerequisites for salvation are repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:1-18; Luke 13:3, 5; Acts 16:25-31, 20:21; Rom. 3:23-31, 4:1-8, 6:23). The suffering and sacrificial death of Jesus Christ was substitutionary for our sin debt and it is sufficient for all mankind (John 3:16; Heb. 2:9; 2 Peter 3:9).
We believe that since salvation is based upon the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and not on man's good works, it is eternal. That a man is saved forever, once true repentance has taken place in his heart, and is never able to forfeit salvation through backsliding or any vain attempt to give it back (John 3:16, 10:27-30; I Peter 1:5).

The Church

We believe that Jesus Christ established His church during His ministry on earth (Matt. 4; Mark 1), that it was empowered on the day of Pentecost (Acts 1:8), and that it is always a local, visible assembly of Scripturally baptized believers in a covenant relationship to carry out the Great Commission. The church is composed of a saved and baptized membership (Acts. 2:41-43). The two ordinances, not sacraments, (I Cor. 11:1-2) are baptism by immersion (Acts 8:12, 38; Matt. 28:18-20; Rom. 6:4) and the Lord’s Supper (I Cor. 11:23-34).

End Times

We believe in the literal interpretation of the Scriptures in their grammatical and historical context. We believe in the pre-tribulational rapture of the church saints, followed by the seven-year tribulation. We believe in the pre-millennial return of Christ to the earth and His literal rule of 1,000 years. Following this one-thousand-year reign is the Great White Throne judgment and then the new heaven and new earth. (1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-9; Revelation 19-22)

Holy Living

We believe that as believers we should all live our lives in such a manner as becomes godliness and true holiness (Eph. 4:24). All the saved should live so that we do not bring reproach or shame upon our Saviour (I Cor. 6:19-20; Matt. 5:16). God commands that we are to live our lives separate from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations; and to refrain from all immodest and immoderate clothing, behavior, piercings, and bodily markings. (Rom. 12:1-2; 14:13; 2 Cor. 6:14-7:1; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; 1 John 2:15-17; 2 John 9-11; Leviticus 19:28; 1 Cor. 6:19-20). We believe that every believer is not to be conformed to the world's philosophies or standards of living (Rom. 12:1).

Marriage

We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, pedophilia, necrophilia, transvestitism, and pornography are sinful perversions of God's gift of sex. We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one's gender by surgery or appearance (Genesis 2:24; Genesis 19:5, 13; Genesis 26:8-9; Leviticus 18:1-30; Romans 1:26-29; I Corinthians 5:1; I Corinthians 6:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; Hebrews 13:4).
We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24; Romans 7:2; I Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5:22-23).

Creation

We believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24-hour periods. We reject evolution, the gap theory, the day-age theory, theistic evolution, and intelligent design not attributed to God as unscriptural theories of origin. (Genesis 1-2; Exodus 20:11)

Missions

We believe that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors of Christ, we must use all available means to go to the foreign nations and not wait for them to come to us. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:20)

Giving

We believe that every Christian, as a steward of that portion of God’s wealth entrusted to him, is obligated to support his local church financially. We believe that God has established the tithe as a basis for giving, but that every Christian should also give other offerings sacrificially and cheerfully to the support of the church, the relief of those in need, and the spread of the Gospel. (Genesis 14:20; Proverbs 3:9-10; Acts 4:34-37; 1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7; Galatians 6:6; Ephesians 4:28; 1 Timothy 5:17-18; 1 John 3:17)
