How we can help you
Lockhart Road Baptist Church stands as a beacon of faith in Denham Springs, Walker, Watson and the greater Baton Rouge area. The goal of a ministry is not simply so we have something to do. The goal of a ministry is to reach those outside the church or to be a blessing and encouragement to those within. Our goal with each ministry is to introduce people to the Lord so they can begin a real personal walk with Him or help people continue to grow in their walk with God and their relationship with other Believers.
Connection Groups
We have geared our Sunday school hour toward connecting people with Jesus and other Believers around His Word. Being part of a Connection Group means that you have a group of people who will be there for you to encourage, challenge, hold you accountable, and help you grow.
Children’s Service
We offer a great children's program to help our youth develop a love for God and a knowledge of His Word. We are not just having fun, but we are planting the seeds of God's truth into their hearts and minds. Of course, we do have fun while doing this.
Visiting
An opportunity to partner with us as we strive to obey the Great Commission: by in-reach and outreach.
Men's Group
We have various planned events for the men ranging from work days, meat buffets, paintball, etc all designed to allow men to connect with each other to promote spiritual growth --"Iron sharpeneth iron"
Ladies' Group
Promoting spiritual growth by giving our ladies a time away from the stresses of life. This allows them to engage with other ladies who can encourage them in their walk with God as they strive to be virtuous women --Proverbs 31:10
"TEAM" Discipleship
Formal teaching in an informal setting. Helping you to grow from the milk of the Word to the meat of the Word by providing an in-depth look into Biblical doctrine to help Believer's know what they believe and why. When this course is done you will be equipped "to teach others also" 2 Tim. 2:2
